We will tour three beautiful, sacred places. Daily Mass will be included.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Hanover, PA

The Basilica was the first parish church in America dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and is the oldest Catholic church in America built of stone. It’s been called the gem of the colonial Catholic churches and named a Minor Basilica on June 30, 1962.

The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Emmitsburg, MD

Experience Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton’s amazing journey from Seeker to Servant to Saint Mother Seton’s extraordinary life and enduring legacy come to life through rarely-seen artifacts, personal writings, digital interactive exhibits and hands-on activities for all ages. It’s an opportunity to connect like never before with this iconic and much-beloved American saint.

The National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, Emmitsburg, MD.

The National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes is a place of prayer devoted to the Blessed Mother, Mary. This beautiful mountainside shrine features the oldest US replica of the Lourdes shrine in France, built just 13 years after the apparition of Our Lady to St. Bernadette in 1858. Each year, the National Shrine Grotto welcomes hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. It is a place of worship, pilgrimage, evangelization, and reconciliation.

Lunch will be on your own in the quaint town of Gettysburg with many restaurants and cafes. Following the last stop, we will head to Shady Maple for dinner!

Return to HGA at approximately 8:30 pm.*

Cost: Just $100 per person which includes transportation, all tour tickets, and dinner.

RSVP Deadline: Monday, April 28, 2025. HGA Parishioners will have first chance to RSVP until April 7th and then the Shrine Hop will be open to other parishes.

Forms and payment may be mailed to or dropped off at the Rectory during regular business hours (Mon.-Thur. 9am-4pm & Fri. 9am-12pm).
